Solving Field Drainage Problems With Sand Slits

Often it is not until a big rain event occurs that field drainage problems are discovered. Someone then gets the task of finding a solution. We have found that sand slit drainage is an excellent solution to permanently solve field drainage problems. With our sand slitting ┬átrencher we can excavate a narrow 2.75″ trench 12″ deep and collect the spoils in a single pass. We then drop in a 1″ x 6″ Hydraway pipe and backfill to surface with free draining sand. Our crews can install up to 1000 linear feet of this pipe in a day. During favorable weather your bermuda grass turf will grow over the slit in a week or 10 days.
